The FOX GROUP Charity for the 4th annual Fishing Derby is Canada's Telecommunications Hall of Fame. 

 

The event was held May 18, 2010 at the private Franklin Fishing Club in East Gwillimbury, Ontario.

  

Canada's Telecommunications Hall of Fame is a Not-For-Profit corporation and CRA registered charitable organization with a mission to safeguard, promote and celebrate the past, present and future excellence of Canadian telecommunications. 

 

Through their annual Telecom Laureate Program and Career Service Awards, they have honoured more than 35 great Canadians from Alexander Graham Bell through to Ted Rogers, Mike Lazeridis and Jim Balsillie, all of  whom have contributed to Canada's legacy of success and achievement in telecommunications.

 

The Education and Outreach Programs help young Canadians understand the importance of Canada's contributions to global telecommunications and promote the industry as a rewarding career choice for our best and brightest young minds.

 

Your financial support of Canada's Telecommunications Hall of Fame allows the organization to promote secondary school and university education in the field of telecommunications, to create scholarships and bursaries for deserving young students with an interest and aptitude for telecommunications and information technology and to develop programs and courses in all aspects of telecommunications at the college  and university levels. 

 

In addition, donations to Canada's Telecommunications Hall of Fame to date have permitted the organization to celebrate unsung Canadian heroes and to shine a spotlight on their career accomplishments in the conception, design, development and delivery of some of the world's most significant telecommunications technology and service innovation.
